well, 4am, this is for real this time. there was a change of plans, and tonight, at midnight, i leave for the villiage of vambea, which is on the island of ono, which is in the group of islands called kandavu, which is located in the backwards country of fiji.
god has been doing ridiculously big and meaningful things in my life, and when i get home, i really think you'll see the impact that it's made on me. fiji has just been a good time for prayer and fasting and seeking god, if anything because i'm so dang bored out of my mind all the time. it drove me to it, you know?
but yeah. the villiage. there's even less to do there than here. we can get up whenever we want (sweet), and for the day, there's nothing set. we have
no set ministry there. this is cool, cause we can do whatever we like, but at the same time, it means that whatever we do, we have to think of and do ourselves. a girl that went there and got sick has been staying with us, and i've talked to her alot about what to expect there. she says that for guys, it's alot better than it is for the girls. the guys go swimming and spearfishing all day. not bad. the girls cook and do laundry all day. yeah. if they want to go swimming, the custom of the villiage is that girls have to wear a sulu, or skirt. man, that would suck. so, i'll be sharpening my spear fishing skills for the next twenty days. i'm gonna learn to catch a fish with a spear, and i mean that with all my heart.
so, i don't know if i'll be able to hop online or what when i get back from vambea, so this could be goodbye until kona. ryan, keep truckin, and get some pictures on this piece. my mom bought a digital camera, so you and jon should come over and 'show her how to use it,' and by that i mean, take it and go take some pictures. nobody here cares about the quality as long it's decent. jon, again, i hope you're enjoying your new life. and kasper, stick to your words and go get a digital camera and start taking some pictures of your life. i think we all want to see it.
well, that's it, i'm out.
see you all in a month and a week.
but one last thing, here's the twenty best pictures of fiji...enjoy.
