yeah, thanks mom.

thaaaaaanks mommmmm.

something i forgot to mention, to coincide with our foundation's first birthday, we owe a big thanks and gratitude to our most loved and cherished supporter and encourager... CHUCK'S MOM. thanks so much for always helping us out, and getting us papa john's, and code red, and hostess and little debbie good stuff, and code red, and of course, papa john's. yep, this post was necessary.

happy birthday, 4AMBlue.
who would have ever thought it would get so big?
who would have ever thought that people from countries like iran would find this place, or that israel and denmark would be number two and three on the list of countries that visit here. people in iran, i understand, can't even get to cnn.com, but they can come here. people all over the world have come and seen bits and pieces of our lives, and the lives of some of you guys reading this. two people of india have come here, one of the leading nations in the spread of god's love at the moment. they're hungry there. desperate, and two of them made their way here.

in a year, i never thought that i'd be sitting outside right now, looking up to cloudless, starry skies in kona, hawaii. i never thought that i'd ever do anything, i never thought that this would be anything more than an extention of my need for file storage and jon's contempt for free web servers. and look. internationally placed guys reaching out internationally. the great commission at work. i'm amazed. jon, man, i was moved by what you wrote because it made me realize that, holy crap, we just might actually be doing someting with our lives. we might not be the losers and dorks we always were anymore, after all this is over. i mean, we've always said it to each other but never written it down, how on earth did our boring lives get so dang interesting and cool? i never knew i had a favorite color until that night a year ago, the almost-birthday of futureman.com or birdwatching.com. who have we become man? why is summer taking so dang long to get here?

god, you've done so much, and to see us all get out, and end up at the corners of the earth, is a testament to the call you place on our lives to tell the world of the unfailing love story of jesus christ. 4am is a big part of my heart, and to have you all here to walk it out with me, moves me. i love you all, and look how far this little thing has come in a year. i'm amazed. what happens in 041004? where on earth, literally, are we going to be?

lord, let us never forget how far we've come, and how far we've gone to see you work and move. may the grace and peace of our glorious lord and savior jesus christ be with you all. sandimashighschoolfootballrules!

it's been a good year. lots of memories. here at 4am, we brought you the international inside joke line, the spread hundreds of online tests, the photo documentation, ryan in the shower, weekly shots of nate's mutated leg, the mini-photo documentation, and much much more. in the future, we sure would like to think that we can bring you more, but we're definitely not making ANY promises. truth is, we're spread all the way across the freaking world, barely talking to each other much, or knowing each other at all, and yeah, we don't have much time anymore. um, wow, the computer lab just exploded into weird conversations about girls discipleship class and how all guys are perverts or something, and girls are perfect angels. uh, right. so much proof against that. nevermind. ok, you know those episodes of the simpsons, where they couldn't think of a good script to write, so they'd just throw together old scenes...

ok, i seriously can't post anymore. there's so much. where would the world be without 4am!? yeah. so, thanks for all the support, love, and good stuff. sorry for the slack in posting lately. really, ok wow, as i thought what to write next i think i may actually write something serious on this blog for once. yeah, so we haven't been posting much, and not to raise ourselves up or anything, but yeah, God has called us to many different places, and really, we're doing our best to serve him. and so, time does not always allow for quality posting, but God totally comes first. i'm sorry if our attitudes at times may seem that we are unhappy or complaining in anyway, because we know that we are truly blessed, that God has given us so much grace and compassion, and we are so grateful. the reason you see us sound negative here is because it's an easy way to get something like that out, and easy to put junk up here when feeling like that. when we're doing great, we're usually far from a computer, or too motivated and moving to sit down and write about it. dang, God has done so much in all of our lives in the past year. i mean, me and chuck started this, one year ago today, sitting in his house, drinking code red nearing 4 in the morning, wanting some webspace... "hey, let's call it birdwatching.com, hehe, yeah". "no dude, futureman.com". and neither of us ever expected to be on complete opposite sides of the planet from each other in a year. wow, just wow, really. chuck, i love you so much man. i always forget how great of friends we are. and miss you too much. ryan, i love you more than you know, and i wish i could show it to you better. you're an amazing guy, and you've got a lot to give the world, but don't let anyone or anything stop you from your dreams, and the dreams God puts in you. eli, i think i've met you once. sorry, but i don't know what else to say. i pray God protects you in the Israeli army. kasper, i'll see you in the morning.

God, i thank you so much for all that you are. your love, your grace, and the glory you shine in our lives. here i am, in copenhagen denmark, about to close out my day (chuck just starting his over in hawaii), and i thank you. i never dreamed that things would be like this. that my small group of friends, would really be able to step out, and affect the world. but here i am, doing your work, and i am blown away, by all that you are. please, never leave me, never let me step away from your presence. and in the past, it seems like whenever one of us has opened himself up on this particular blog in a way such as this, we've been shot down, judged, or yelled at, but i pray that this time, it would be different, and it would lead to a realness. i don't know. i just want you to be in everything that we do. because without you, nothing, none of this would be possible. so yeah, thank you. i don't have a cool picture of 4amblue here to put up, really i don't have time, i need sleep. but yeah, SUMMER IS COMING SOON. thank you Jesus. "dude, dude! i got it. describe to me your favorite color. you know, the color of the sky, in the summer, just before the sun comes up." "yeah, you mean the 4 AM Blue?"

hey i updated my art site. sorry it took me so long.

i'm at harper right now and let me tell ya, it sucks.
and i think that time is going backwards on the clock on this computer...
i guess harper's computers weren't Y2K compliant.

Hey 4 AM Blue, happy birthday man, I think I love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

everyone, everyone... it is now time, for an international SOLO DANCE PARTY.

Hey, you guys ever heard of Terry Pratchett? He's written a series of books called Discworld. It's some of the best books I've read in my life. Heres a quote, don't know why I feel like quoting the guy. "I like the idea of democracy. You have to have someone everyone distrusts," said Brutha. "That way, everyone's happy."

all done with the music videos. it came down to a total of 22 hours of work. i'm glad thats over with.

sorry chuck, i've been real busy. i promise to write you one this week.
oh man, your mom made mashed potatos, they're soooooooo good.

i agree with the cd borrowing...once again, my goldfinger cd Stomping Grounds is now in the hands of someone that i know will never give it back, the same someone who almost lost my OK Computer... also, ryan...i suffer from a lack of emails, too. only jon really emails me anymore, in the beginning, i almost got like 10 a day.

what happened? do you people not miss me anymore?
postcards go out today...last chance to guestbook me your address.

don't let people borrow cds. my Mew cd Half the World is Watching Me is now gone, and the new one was nearly lost too. pooh.

it seems like nobody ever e-mails me anymore...
you a super star boy, what are still doing up in the hood.

this weekend i went on a ministry trip to Randers and Hobro, both cities in Jutland (Jutland being the mainland of Denmark, for those of you that don't know that Copenhagen is on an island between Sweden and Jutland). so, between the island that Copenhagen is on and another island next to it is one of the longest bridges in the world. it costs almost thirty dollars to drive on. last week i was in van that drove over it, on a trip to Haderslev, and i thought how i'd like to ride the train that goes underwater beneath the bridge. well, this weekend i did. it's not all that exciting, but we're underwater for like 3 and half minutes. anyway, not a lot happened. me, nate, and nolan were the only guys. there was a gospel choir from norway one night. they were extremely weird. during a song in which they sang "in the holy place" over and over they made different body movement, ending with placing their right hand on their heads and thrusting their elbow back and forth, somewhat headbanging, quite odd. but yeah, i listened to the new Radiohead a lot, and Lea decided that if she made a quote page for everybody this year that mine would say "that's a radiohead song". yep, here's pictures.
